On the 25th of December, 2021, the founding meeting of Jinan Alumni Association of the School of MEIE, SDU was successfully held in Jinan Shungeng Villa. Zhao Yupu, vice president of Weihai Campus, Liu Xiaojun, vice director of Local Cooperation and Alumni Work Office, Wang Li, executive vice dean of MEIE, and Sun Ning, secretary of the Youth League Committee of MEIE attended the meeting. Wang Liang, Li Zheng, Cui Yuhua, alumni representatives, and more than 50 alumni living and working in Jinan participated in the event.

Zhao Yupu, on behalf of they Working Committee of Weihai campus, congratulated on the convening of the conference, and hoped that every alumnus of SDU could bear in mind the school motto of "endless learning", strengthen contact, work hard, and make outstanding contributions to the country and society. Liu Xiaojun and Wang Li respectively delivered speeches, pointing out that the establishment of the alumni association has opened a new chapter of the college alumni work, and alumni association will unite and gather the alumni more widely, build a platform for  communication, eventually achieve the benign interaction between the school and the society.

In the meeting, people elected Li Zheng as the president of the first alumni association of Jinan Alumni Association of MEIE, SDU. Wang Liang and Cui Yuhua was elected as the honorary president and the executive president respectively.

Wang Liang said, I am very grateful to my Alma mater, and hope to keep close contact and deep cooperation with SDU in the future. Li Zheng expressed his gratitude and thanks to SDU and the alumni for their trust. The new council will strictly abide by the constitution of the alumni association, unite and lead the council and the alumni to jointly build a platform for communication, information exchange and win-win cooperation, and expand the Jinan Alumni Association of MEIE.

With the cordial and warm melody of the school song, the meeting was successfully concluded in the chorus. After the founding meeting, all of the attenders took a group photo together and join in a fellowship activity.
